Behold 2021

It's been quite a while since I have written a blog post. The last month was full of preparation for the very first Behold Women's Conference at Carson Springs Conference Center in Newport, TN. It was a wonderful weekend of worship, fellowship, and fun for a fantastic group of ladies. I was thrilled to dive into the book of Ephesians as we explored how Christ is our only hope, specifically how Christ is our hope in life and death, in love and unity, and in strength and perseverance. I want to share some of the highlights of our weekend together.

We greatly enjoyed worshiping through song with Seed Company, the in-house band of BCM at Carson Newman University. What a talented and dedicated group of young, Christian musicians! It was a huge blessing for me to share speaking responsibilities with my long-time friend and mentor, Sarah Conti, throughout the weekend. In addition to the group worship sessions, we had the opportunity to divide into smaller discussion groups and three different breakout sessions to continue our exploration of Ephesians.

One of my favorite parts of the weekend was our time in the interactive prayer room. The ladies rotated through five different stations, participating in an activity and spending some concentrated time in prayer at each one.

Saturday afternoon was full of fun activities, including hiking, a low ropes course, a canvas painting class, games, and free time.

We even had a special guest appearance! Holly Parton, Dolly's 4th cousin twice removed, kept us well entertained with her first live performance! I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. She got us on our feet and helped us burn off all of the sugar from the amazing dessert social provided by Carson Springs. In

I am so grateful for the planning team, the breakout session leaders, the activity team leaders, and the many praying and helpful women who made Behold 2021 possible. I can't wait to start getting ready for next year!
